Old Lady Gang is a soul food haven located in Atlanta, GA, offering a unique dining experience with a touch of Southern charm. As a food reviewer of Restaurant World, I had the pleasure of indulging in their flavorful dishes and exploring their extensive menu options.
Upon entering Old Lady Gang, I immediately felt welcomed by the bright and airy ambiance, showcasing historic Southern charm. The restaurant features a bar area, multiple dining tables, and a lively atmosphere that is perfect for a brunch outing, cocktail night, celebratory event, or a cozy dinner date.
One of the standout dishes that left a lasting impression on me was the Deep Fried Whipped Deviled Eggs. These indulgent bites, topped with crispy brown sugar bacon, were a true game-changer and a must-order for anyone looking to experience a unique twist on a classic dish.
In addition to the delectable starters, the entrees at Old Lady Gang were equally impressive. From Aunt Bertha's Fried Chicken to Kandi's Honey Glazed Blackened Salmon, each dish was expertly prepared and bursting with flavor. The attention to detail in the dishes, such as the Turkey stewed collard greens and the red mashed potatoes, truly elevated the dining experience.
The restaurant's dedication to providing a memorable culinary experience extends beyond the food itself. The attentive staff, including waiters like Zee and the manager, Tyrese, ensured that every customer felt at home. Meeting Aunt Nora added a personal touch to the dining experience, making it truly unforgettable.

Don't miss out on this gem in Atlanta's dining scene.

After all these years and the hype im finally able to experience the OLG restaurant. For a weekend with so much going on downtown it is actually not busy at all. Able to get in, get drink quickly and order. So far so good!!

My boyfriend and I visited from out of town and all I can say is Yasss. This was exactly what we were looking for! The fried deviled eggs had me from the start. The baked chicken was well seasoned with some delish collard greens and baked macaroni and cheese. The salmon was tasty to perfection! If you're in the area def a must stop!

So my husband and I checked out OLG on a Saturday around 1p, we paid for parking down the street at a lot ($20 for 4 hours) but were seated right away. Zee was our waitress and she was the best along with her manager Tyrese. She gave great suggestions and was very personable and made us feel right at home. We even got to meet Aunt Nora and she was soooooo sweet, just loved how she mingled and talked with us. The ambiance was cute and rustic, I don't know if I really expected glamour but it was decent seating that could use a nice upgrade to the bathroom and tables/chairs. The food was really good! I suggest the lamb chops, collard greens, black eyed peas and rice, fried deviled eggs, and salmon bites! I ordered Mac and cheese but by the time I remembered I was already full. The mashed potatoes had a little too much garlic, sweet potato soufflé was good but I could taste too much nutmeg and the rib tips were good but cooked just a tad bit harder than I like. The cornbread was super good!!! I got some sides to go and enjoyed them just as much. Honestly, it all was really good but preference kicked in with some options. The Hennessy strawberry margarita was really good too. I'll definitely be going back, just will have to make the drive. It wasn't too busy so we came at the right time.

Deep. Fried. Deviled. Eggs. Do I need to say more? All the food was fantastic, but slightly slow to come out, however we arrived right at the opening and our waiter let us know the grits would take awhile. They were absolutely worth it. It was also fun to see the lady gang's photos on the wall. Definitely make time to stop by!

Ambiance: Bright & airy restaurant with historic Southern charm featuring a bar area and multiple dining tables. I absolutely loved everything about Old Lady Gang! The food was phenomenal. Perfect spot for brunch, grabbing cocktails at the bar, celebrating an occasion, or a dinner date. First time having deep fried deviled eggs - and wow! A must order! Also highly recommend the fried green tomatoes. Their Shrimp & Grits were the best we've ever had. Every dish was full of flavor! Quick and kind service. It did seem like they might get busy on weekends. Easy walk from the Garnett train stop (we're clearly tourists and had an easy enough time figuring it out.) Street parking available. They do not take CashApp or Apple Pay. Decent pricing for the amount of food and for how good/unique it is. I will for sure visit again next time I'm in Atlanta!
